Description

of Cluster:

Physical therapists provide services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes. Students will work under the direct supervision of a physical therapist or a physical therapist assistant to gain experience in the management of patients with conditions identified within the physical therapy practice patterns of: neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems.  Students my work in a variety of settings including hospital based, outpatient, home health, school based or rehabilitation to gain experience in the five elements of patient/client management: examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention.
