Welcome to Eastern Area Health Education Center. Our mission is to meet the region's health and health workforce needs by providing educational programs in partnership with academic institutions, health care agencies, and other organizations committed to improving the health of the people of North Carolina.

The faculty and staff provide continuing education programs in allied health, dentistry, nursing, medicine, mental health, pharmacy and public health. Eastern AHEC also provides resources and support for community-based education for health sciences students, residents and preceptors. Other programs address workforce needs of the region including increasing the representation of minorities and disadvantaged populations in health disciplines.
